Horrific and nasty

The 701 Lounge & Bar is a tiny quaint bar located is Covington that serves both alcohol & has a kitchen as well. From first glance it appears to be a nice clean friendly place to hang out or have a good time. But look a little deeper into how & who runs/owns the bar & you will soon want to pour out your drink, throw away your food, & head for the nearest exit. Take it from someone who had 4 months of direct everyday visits, behind the scenes experience, overnight stays, & personally know the owner very well. The upstairs where the owner lives is just downright disgusting & was never fully cleaned in the 4 month experience I had there. Plus all that nastiness is inevitable carried on downstairs into the bar & kitchen. The owner appears to be very friendly & kind until you get to know him & soon find out he will do anything, no matter what it is or involves, to make a dime. I would go somewhere else before ever stepping foot back into that place after gaining the personal knowledge I did over such a period of time.

What a wonderful place!

Great place to have a few COCKtails and unwind... Lots of flat screens with something on at all times! Great owner, and great staff. Menu is full of goodies! Pool table if you play, and fireplace if you don't!!!

Family friendly in every sense.

If you're there for a cocktail, meeting up for an early tapa or out to party with the fellas, then this is the place for you. Great bartenders and FANTASTIC wings make this the place to be!
